EYE EXAMINATIONS

Proactivity is vital when it comes to your eye health. As such, we recommend annual eye examinations to detect abnormalities and observe any year-to-year changes in your vision.

During your routine eye examination, our highly skilled team will not only test your vision to determine your prescription, but they will also check for other conditions that could be impacting your overall health.

At our clinic, we look to detect abnormalities and indications of eye disease early on before permanent damage can occur. We use nothing but the best technology to diagnose, manage and treat eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataracts, and will provide referrals when necessary.

YOUR FAMILY'S HEALTH

At Vision Optometry, our goal is to provide the best ocular health care available to you and your family. A strong sense of sight is essential to a child’s development and their understanding of the world around them.

It can be challenging to know if your child is struggling with their vision especially when they are non-verbal. For this reason, we encourage you to bring in your children for their first eye examination between the ages of 6 and 9 months.

Our team provides pediatric eye exams and in many cases can correct vision issues affecting your child's development if caught early enough. As an additional benefit, BC MSP provides full coverage of the cost of annual eye exams for children under the age of 19.

CONTACT LENSE FITTING AND DISPENSING

Our clinic custom fits and dispenses contact lenses for all ages in all prescription types, including multifocals, dailies, continuous wears, coloured lenses, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses, and astigmatism correcting lenses. An eye examination and evaluation of fit are essential to prescribe the right contact lenses for your eyes and vision.

Your contact lenses need to fit well and be properly cared for to provide you with optimal comfort and vision. We teach our patients how to properly insert, remove, and clean their lenses to ensure proper care and hygiene are maintained. At the end of our evaluation, we provide you with a trial pair of contact lenses that fit your lifestyle needs and the health of your eye.
